Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about using SaveReels.app. For legal terms, see our Terms and Privacy Policy.

What is SaveReels.app?

SaveReels.app is a free web tool that helps you download public Instagram reels, posts, and videos for personal offline viewing. We are not affiliated with Meta, Instagram, or Facebook.

How do I copy an Instagram link?

Open the reel or post in the Instagram app or in a browser, tap the share icon (or the three dots on web), then choose “Copy link.” Paste that URL into the field on our homepage and follow the steps to download.

Do I need to log in to Instagram or to SaveReels?

No. You do not need an account with us, and we do not ask for your Instagram password. Only paste a link to a public post or reel.

Can I download private accounts or DMs?

No. Only publicly available content that you can open without logging in as the owner can be processed. Respect others’ privacy and Instagram’s rules.

What video quality will I get?

Quality depends on what Instagram serves for that post and what our resolver can obtain. We aim for the best available option; it may vary by post and over time.

Is it legal to download Instagram videos?

You are responsible for how you use the service. Download content only when you have the right to do so — for example, your own posts, or content you are permitted to save under copyright and Instagram’s Terms of Use. Personal, offline use of your own saves is a common case; redistributing others’ work without permission may infringe their rights.

Why does a download sometimes fail?

Instagram and third-party tools change often. A link may be invalid, the post may be removed or restricted, or temporary network issues may occur. Try again later, confirm the URL is correct, or use another public post to test.

Do you store my links or files?

We design the service to process requests without keeping a personal archive of your downloads. For details on data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
