How to download Instagram Stories
Stories are different from posts — they aren’t tied to a permanent link, so you download them by username instead. Type any public account’s username (or paste their profile URL) into the box above and press Download. SaveReels pulls that profile’s currently-active stories and shows each one so you can save the photos and videos you want in full HD.
It’s completely anonymous. You’re never logged in and never open the story through Instagram, so you don’t appear in the account’s viewer list — the owner has no way to know you saved it.
Stories expire — save them in time
Every Instagram story disappears 24 hours after it’s posted. Once it’s gone, there is nothing left to fetch. If you know you’ll want a moment later — a recipe, a workout, an announcement, a memory — grab it while it’s still live. Highlights (stories a creator has pinned to their profile) stay available longer because the account holder chose to keep them.

Saving a large video used to download it twice — once inside the app, then again through Android's own download manager — which quietly doubled the mobile data it cost you. The app now hands the file over straight away, so it downloads once. Videos of every size save this way now and show up in your notification shade while you carry on browsing.
